About MediaDatak
What does MediaDatak do?
MediaDatak helps decision-makers understand how audiences will react before anything goes live. We build advanced predictive audiences with realistic beliefs, biases, and emotional triggers. You can test content, campaigns, concepts, visuals, or positioning and see authentic reactions in real time — without recruitment delays, privacy risks, or guesswork.
Who is behind MediaDatak?
Our leadership combines world-class AI research with decades of real industry experience. François Pachet led Spotify's Creator Technology Research Lab and Sony Computer Science Lab, pioneering systems that model taste and emotion. Samuel Zniber brings 25+ years running major radio and audio brands across multiple continents. Richard René brings 30+ years in radio, software, and international development.
Who uses MediaDatak?
Brands, media companies, gaming studios, advertisers, content creators, and any organization needing fast, reliable audience insight without traditional research delays or limitations.
How It Works
How do I start?
Book a discovery call with our team. We'll define your challenges, build your first audience, and run your first simulation together. You'll receive immediately actionable insights for your strategic decisions.
What does a project look like?
Projects begin by defining the decision you need to make, selecting relevant audience profiles, and reviewing your content or questions. A live real-time working session with a consultant follows, where you use the platform to see instant reactions and test ideas on the spot. Afterward, you receive clear presentations and strategic reports with insights, risks, and recommended next steps.
How quickly do we get results?
Reactions surface in real time as content loads or questions begin. This enables same-day decision-making aligned with modern pace — rather than waiting weeks for slow studies or delayed reports.
Can you simulate how something will be received before it launches?
Yes. The platform shows likely audience reactions before launch — highlighting what engages people, where disconnection occurs, emotional peaks, friction points, and which segments need refinement. This lets you adjust with confidence.
Do you offer a way to try this before committing?
Yes. A Sample Audience Session lets you experience the platform with your real content or questions through a live video session. You'll see how the system works and how quickly it provides decision clarity — before committing to a full study.
What You Can Test
What kinds of content can you test?
Virtually anything your audience will react to: TV spots, radio shows, podcasts, ad campaigns, marketing messages, digital formats, Instagram videos, YouTube concepts, thumbnails, websites, scripts, music genres, playlists, brand partnerships, product concepts, game trailers, visual identity, market positioning, competitive strategies, and more.
What types of questions can I ask?
You can explore emotional reactions, friction points, blind spots, brand positioning, concepts, pacing, marketing angles, creative risks, trailers, competitive strategy, format changes, market dominance, and loyalty conversion. Questions receive answers from multiple audience profiles with human-like nuance — explaining the emotional reasoning behind their reactions, not just surface-level data.
What do we actually receive?
You work live in real time with our consultants, exploring how audience profiles react to your content and ideas. Deliverables include clear presentations of the strongest reactions and hesitation moments, detailed audience segment profiles, strategic reports translating insights into actionable recommendations, and executive summaries for leadership.
What features do you offer?
Three main offerings: Strategic Market Study (1,000-person full-market intelligence with 90 days of focus group access), Precision Focus Group (100-person rapid reaction test), and Always-On Audience (real-time daily testing lab).
Methodology & Reliability
What sources do you use?
The engine ingests aggregated statistics from over 10,000 data source APIs — government census data, national surveys, market research, behavioral studies, platform usage distributions, and cultural signal aggregators. These form the constraints that the MaxEnt solver uses to generate populations. Every constraint is traceable to its source. No individual-level data or microdata is ever used.
Why use this instead of traditional focus groups?
Traditional methods were built for slower environments where group dynamics suppress honest opinions and results arrive too late. Our approach delivers honest reactions without group bias, filters, or delays — enabling real-time decisions instead of guessing under pressure.
How is this different from a chatbot?
MediaDatak is a statistical engine, not a language model. At its core is a MaxEnt (Maximum Entropy) convex optimization solver that generates populations from aggregated constraints — census data, behavioral surveys, market statistics. LLM enrichment is an optional final layer, not the foundation. Every population is reproducible (seeded), auditable, and comes with a per-constraint precision report (MRE).
What stops someone from doing this with ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a general-purpose language model producing consensus answers without structured sampling or statistical grounding. MediaDatak uses a MaxEnt convex optimization engine that generates populations from real aggregated constraints (census, surveys, market data). Every output is seeded for reproducibility and includes per-constraint precision reporting (MRE). The statistical validity comes from the math, not from a language model.
How do you guarantee the reliability of results?
Every simulation is seeded and reproducible — run it twice, get the same output. Each run produces a per-constraint Mean Relative Error (MRE) precision report showing exactly how closely the generated population matches each input constraint. In head-to-head validation, MediaDatak achieved ~95% directional overlap with traditional human panel studies. Results are auditable, comparable, and independently verifiable.
How do you avoid bias in the results?
We build a wide spectrum of audience profiles reflecting real differences in age, culture, values, habits, and life experience. The simulation engine forces opposing viewpoints to confront each other, ensuring dominant opinions don't overshadow quieter or minority perspectives — surfacing every disagreement independently.
Privacy & Compliance
Are you GDPR-compliant?
Yes. The entire system is fully compliant with GDPR and major global privacy regulations. Our approach was designed from day one to avoid data collection risks — no personal data, no individual tracking, no profiles, no accounts, no identity-based information.
Do you use personal data to create simulations?
No. MediaDatak never ingests microdata. The system works exclusively from aggregated statistics — census distributions, survey marginals, market-level behavioral data. No individual record ever enters the pipeline. No personal data transits the system. GDPR and CCPA compliant by architecture, not by policy. On-premise deployment available for organizations requiring full data sovereignty.
Problems We Solve
What problems does MediaDatak solve?
We help brands and organizations make confident strategic decisions without waiting weeks for traditional research. This includes testing concepts before launch, spotting early backlash signals, understanding what drives attention and retention, strengthening marketing messages, hearing diverse audience perspectives, and moving from slow retrospective studies to real-time clarity.
